Christmas is coming! (sorry to mention the 'C' word!)
Now is the perfect time to cart your 'significant other' over to LCE in Chichester where you can gaze longingly at the latest kit - hint hint!
Keep an eye out dates for January - the series will continue.

Older news......
If you need inspiration to get out and about, why not try a panoramic shot like this one from Eartham Woods to Bury Hill sent in by Carl Smith. The weather is still changeable and we've had some atmospheric clouds recently. This is simply three JPEGs stitched together using Microsoft Ice (a freebie!).
Woo Hoo!
MCC Most improved club at Sussex Fed. Regional PDI Comp. Well done to the selection committee, chaired by Chris Haines, and all contributing photographers who took us to 7th position (out of 15 clubs).

Camera Craft Workshops
NEXT UP Monday 26th November The next workshop will cover the basic principles of light control. This is a hands-on practical session where you will get to grips with your camera and all those mysterious buttons. As we are back in the small hall for this session we need to limit numbers so that we can be sure to support the folk who would like a bit of help. SORRY, WE'VE CLOSED THE REGISTRATION |
Please note....start time has changed again!

Just in case you were wondering.....
...about MCC's commitment to the environment and our switch to disposable cups. Well, we did a lot of soul-searching and took everything into account such as a) the chance to give members a decent sized hot drink, b) cut down the exclusion of the folk doing the prep. and washing up week-on-week and c) most importantly, whether any cups we selected could be recycled. Fortunately for us, Arun is one of the few councils in the country that has been recycling take-away cups for some time; they go off to the Ford recycling plant. Enjoy!

Camera Craft Workshops
NEXT Up 26th One of the most interesting aspects of Camera Club membership is meeting others who share your love of photography. This diverse membership creates an immense pool of talent, but also has its challenges, not least the fact that, between us, we have an almost infinite range of equipment, post-processing software, interests and, of course, skill levels. |
Please note....earlier start time 19.15

Within the limit of our fortnightly meetings, we try to create a programme that has a fine balance of speakers, competitions and practical evenings, hopefully offering something for everyone. At the same time, we do recognise that our programme will never be able to cover everything and we know from our earlier survey that some of you would appreciate a little more help with the basics, to get you fully into the swing of club life. To that end, we are offering a supplementary programme of 'Camera Craft Workshops', which will run alongside the main programme at £3 per two-hour session.
These will be informal meetings with the first two sessions booked for November - check out the details and sign up if you are interested [LINK]. Feel free to post your own suggestions too....no promises, but we'll try!

We will be sad to see the departure of our old friends from Sussex Cameras when the store closes in January; lots of us have enjoyed the discount they gave to club members. So, life moves on and we have managed to negotiate a similar deal with LCE. Please do support them, they have a wealth of knowledge and their prices are competitively matched to online vendors - let's not lose another local store to the US marketing machine! Member offer up to 10% discount on a range of products and accessories across the store, show your membership card |
