We're interested in your thoughts......
If you were lucky enough to pick up this month's copy of Photography News, turn to page 28 and find out all about the UK's newest camera club, Fstop. It makes for an interesting read, as they seem to have thrown away the rule book (or conventions at least) and taken a completely fresh look at camera club life. We'd love to hear what you think, as there are probably ideas in here that we can pinch! Mimickery being the greatest form of flattery! If you have any ideas, feedback, things you did and didn't like this year please do let us know, because it helps us to plan our supplementary workshops.
You can put your ideas down on the contact form on the Workshop Page, drop us an email or leave a paper copy at one of the meetings. If you didn't pick up a copy, you can download it and read it on-line [LINK] |
Canon Users - Christmas is coming early!
Rita, one of our members, is parting with all her precious Canon gear and would like to give members a chance to make an offer - it would be nice if it went to a 'forever' home rather than a dealer :) This is all high quality equipment, much of it still in original boxes. It has been very well looked after and, some of it, little used. The main items are shown below and any reasonable offer will be considered. Non-Canon users.....things for you too. Tripods, studio lights, filters etc. If you have been looking for something drop us a line as we'll see if we can sort you out [LINK] Images above are for illustration only |
Surrey Rosebowl 2019 - Results
Oh well, there's always next year :)
Despite entering some cracking images, the competition was just too tough for us this year and the award went to Godalming Photographic Club. So,we aren't the sorts to be 'down' for long and we're already thinking of next year. Now is the time to get together with four other photographers and start getting panels together. The winning panel might well have been taken in Petworth Park [VIEW], right on our doorstep....what's keeping you?

MSW Shield Inter-club Competition: 1st Place Middleton Camera Club
After several barren years, we have recently been doing rather well in MSW Shield and, although we have had recent successes, it's always by the narrowest of margins. So, this year, we're very proud to have pipped Selsey and Wittering Camera Clubs to the top spot once again.
Special thanks to Selsey CC for hosting this annual inter-club competition, to our selection committee for their scrutiny and to all our members who have entered competitions this season - you gave us some amazing images to choose from. View all entries HERE
