Graeme Styles takes the Chairman's Challenge Tropy with 'Taking on Water!' AIMS
Apparatus Canon 80D F/6.3 1/320 Sec ISO 100 Inspiration I'd noticed some run down house boats at Shoreham a couple of weeks earlier and thought they'd fit fine with the competition category. On returning I was flabbergasted to find the path along the river was now closed off to the public due to sea defence work. As I walked back to the car fed up I noticed this solitary shipwreck and took a hopeful shot or two. |
Manipulation
A few tweak here and there using SmartPhoto Editor Studio (No Lightroom for me LoL) |
Runner Up (2nd)
'Seen Better Days' Alan Bennett AIMS
Apparatus: Nikon D7100
Inspiration: This photo was taken in an overgrown field in Andover, with the farm implements as seen in the photo. It seemed simple but so natural English rural, taken in colour but l felt it had more impact in b&w. |
Runner Up (3rd)
'Face at the Window' Andrew Worsfold AIMS
Apparatus: Olympus Pen F (micro four thirds)
Inspiration: This image was taken during the recent farm visit where there was plenty of photo opportunities for this particular subject. The mast was purchased from a junk shop in Bognor as a prop for use in my various model shoots. When I spotted the broken window I thought it was the perfect space for this piece and so thankfully did the judge!! Manipulation: Just a slight crop and conversion into monochrome. All the editing was done using the 'Handy Photo' app on my iPad. |
