Love it or hate it, Oilseed Rape has arrived!
One of the best spots we have found this year can be easily accessed from the car park at the top of the 'Trundle'.
Drive up Goodwood Hill and follow the road around, keeping the Trundle on your left. As you pass the Trundle look out for a little lane to your left (it's on a sharp right-hand bend that heads down hill to the village). This lane heads south and leads to two car parks that overlook the countryside towards Chichester and the sea. Park up, cross the lane and follow the signposted footpath that heads roughly West along the ridge and away from the trundle - you'll pass a house with an odd name: don't go South down the hill. After 300-400 metres the path gently descends and the yellow fields open up in front of you (top right). When you walk back towards the car the view is equally impressive (bottom right).
Take a picnic and have fun!
Print of the Year is coming up and you might want a shiny new mount to make sure your favourite images look their best on the night. Unfortunately we have run out of the usual A4 mount kits and won't be getting any new ones unit next season...so...we have a special offer from now until stock runs out (or the blades break!!).
External competition standard 40 cm x 50 cm mounts with A4 centralised aperture (good for landscape and portrait) supplied with backing board:
£3 each or £10 for 4.
A3 kits (mount, board and bag) in black or white.
£10 for 4 a saving of £5!
SxPF Results... The Boys and Girls Done Good!
Our selection committee, headed up by Johnnie Yates, once again did us proud!
We might not have dominated the score board, but we did dominate the (almost) front row with a swathe of sky-blue club tee-shirts and a notable turn-out of no less than 6 members, lots more than our neighbouring clubs.
This was a good day out. We travelled en masse, had lunch in the local biker cafe and came home with heads held high. MCC is well and truly up and out there! We came away with credible placings, a Bronze Award for John Connor as 'Judge's Selection' and 2nd prize in the raffle!
Thanks to everyone who contributed images for selection and now is the time to start tucking them away for next year!

New PDI 'file naming'
Having struggled with the competition software for some time, we have now sourced a much improved option. However, it will need an adjustment in the way you name your files. We realise this is a mid-season change so, if you are stuck, please ask and we'll help you to get your entries sorted.
Please note the new format, in particular, the spacing (or not) between the elements:
