A Kiss For Mummy
Apparatus: Panasonic Lumix Bridge
Inspiration: I spent 2-hours at a lambing farm and failed to capture any shots that I was happy with. OK, so I had a great diversion with a newly hatched duckling, but it was the lambs that I came for. However, I was just driving home and spotted a field of ewes and lambs; I shot out of the car and just 'saw' the opportunity. I could have stood there all day and not seen this again.
Manipulation: I simply cropped the image, nothing else. We did have a healthy debate after the event as to who would and who wouldn't have cloned out the numbers! The discussion prompted by Judge Eric's dislike for the distraction of letters!
Highly Commended: Chris Haines
Apparatus: CANON 550D
Inspiration: My main interest is birds in flight, as I like movement in my pictures, this seems a bit of a contradiction since I try to get sharp pictures that actually don't show movement, but one must assume they are moving since they are in mid air. The picture was taken at the Arundel Wetlands, were I go on a regular basis to photograph birds.
Manipulation: As far as changing or editing I try to keep this to a minimum, I only use Levels, or a bit of brightnes/contrast if needed.
